Taj Mahotsav

This 10 Days long carnival is held as an annual event between 18-27 Feb at Shilpgram, Agra. It is one of the most cherished cultural festival of art, craft, culture and cuisine, included in the calendar of events of Dept. of Tourise, Govt. of India. In this festival about 400 artisans from all over the country participate and sell their crafts at the most reasonable prices. Here one also enjoy the music and dances from the rich cultural heritage of India.

Kailash Fair (12 Kms) (August/September) :

Held at Kailash temple near Sikansara. It is a major fair celebrated in honour of Lord Shiva who is believed to have appeared here in the form of a stone lingam.

Sheetla Fair (10 Kms.)(July/Aug.) :

It is help at Sheetla Mata Mandir on Mau road near Kendriya Hindi Sansthan.

Bateshwar Fair :

This month long festival is held annually during the month of October/November. It is one of oldest & Largest Cattle Fairs in Northern India.

Ram Baraat :

It is one of the famous celebrations in North India. It attracts a large number of devotees and tourists to Agra in the month of Oct-Noov. According to the Hindu Mythology, the wedding of load rama takes place on this day. A beautifully decorated procession is carried through out the City.

Urs (Fatehpur Sikri) :

This fair is organized at Sheikh Salim Chishti's Dargah during the month of Ramzan.

Urs (Tal Mahal) :

Celebration of Shah Jahan's Urs (death anniversary) takes place in Taj mahal every year on 25th, 26th & 27th day of Islamic month 'Rajab'. For exact dates in English month please contact Tourist offices.
